Press Office and Public Relations
The Press and PR Office is responsible for a range of activities designed to promote the strengths and achievements of the club. This includes media relations, event management, internal communications, speech writing, the production of important public documents like the annual report, and ad hoc activities like devising competition entries. The Press and PR Office also advises committee members on the public presentation of policy.
External Communication
Ashfield Rugby club encourages the interest of the media, proactively through the regular issue of press releases. A directory of expertise, Who Can Speak on What will be published biannually listing Ashfield members willing and able to comment on particular issues.
Internal Communication
An email newsletter called Love Rugby is sent to all members bi-monthly. It reports on the major decisions made by the club committee, other news of interest to the majority of members and a listing of events. A full colour 16 page magazine, is produced twice a year and sent to all member subscribers. The Press and PR Office also sends other ad hoc information to members on behalf of senior management via email or letter. Major announcements are also placed on the Ashfield Rugby Club home page.
Events
The Events team is responsible for organising a range of events aimed at helping Ashfield Rugby Club make and maintain contact with important stakeholders. These range from small dinners to major public events. Regular events attract an external, as well as an internal, audience. They are usually given by major club or public figures who come to Ashfield to talk about current issues in their field. An events listing is maintained and accessible from the Ashfield Rugby Club's home page.
